Read My Lips First Week - Nicky Fearn

We have all connected, shared work from Business Unusual, Wandering Moon and Knock-Em-Downs, played, visited temples, palaces, markets and many many local restaurants. We have been ferried around – 3 on one bike, two on another  - and have been taken to art openings and local art and conservation projects by our generous hosts.

I ran the first workshop in working with full-face mask and another looking at “Viewpoints”  (Anne Bogart’s SITI company) and we’ve done composition work to get our creative juices flowing. The Wandering Moon studio is a beautiful place  - older Thai style with wooden parquet floors in amongst tall bamboo. A great place to think and play.

Visiting Doi Suthep mountain – the Royal Palace and the Wat was good inspiration, we have our starting point – the leaping off point for the next bit of exploration. Ghost stories, legends and cross overs with Australian stories.

We’re all feeling that the various skills of the three companies combined will make for an exciting visual mix and story-telling.

Onward now to next week when we’re going to visit and stay in an artist’s commune in the hills for more brain-storing and research…oh and great local food of course…Life is hard.

  1. Go hard, team. We are watching from afar... or a bar...
